ANGEL hardcover.

Went to the Book Expo today. Signed a hundred or so Director's Cuts, met a lot of great people, really really fun. There were big ads on all the doors for ANGEL:ATF, FIRST NIGHT and SPIKE:ATF. I will post pictures when I'm not so tired.

Also got my hands on the ANGEL:AFTER THE FALL hardcover. Again, tomorrow, I'll post pictures...

...but it is stunning. Just amazing. Hardcover, embossed cover, first five issues (all reprinted beautifully, it looks like a whole new book), amazing chapter pages (really gothic and classic), my intro, the script to issue 1 with my notes, all the covers ever (including the wedding cover!) Franco's original sketches for all the leads, a sweet cloth bookmark attached in the book, PLUS the original series proposal. Man is it in-depth. I think I'm leaving something out. Many pictures later in the weekend.

This book is THICK. It's a long, long read. Jam-packed with stuff. IDW has outdone themselves. It's not just the first five issues, it's loaded with every piece of info you'd want to know about the book. I couldn't believe it. What a classy, cool production.

I'm about to go to work, but you've made my day! We get the wedding cover (which I love), sketches, the series proposal, and your notes, and everything else. Holy crap I can't wait for this.

Sounds exciting! I hope that at least one of my bookstores or comic book shops will have it.

I was going to ask if there was going to be a TPB or hardcover of the entire run released later on; but after reading about all the goodies inside of this one, I don't care. I'm getting this anyway.

I'd definitely check out the extra goodies. I love Graphic Novels & they are good if you missed out arcs but I already am happy buying each single issue. :)

I'm already making with the grabby hands here. A definite pre-order for sure! I love it when they don't stinge on the extra goodies.
(and the series deserves the best of the best, it's so amazing)

Hey Brian...the HC sounds great, but there is some confusion on AMAZON, I think. They list a HC at 104 pages, 21.99, shipping 9/29, called Angel: After The Fall: First Night. They also list what looks to be a softcover, Angel: After The Fall, 192pages,June 29. Are either of these the one you are talking about, or is the SKU for that not available yet?

It sounds like a must have. Am still hoping Amazon will stock it, but if not them, my local comic shop. When does it come out?

Anybody who's having trouble finding the hardcover on amazon should try this site:

Last I checked they had it up for pre-order.

I burned through the first four issues last night. So. Blown. Away. I am ordering this AND Vol. 2 now. And while I am waiting for them to come in the mail I will probably go buy the rest of the comics.

I didn't even know how much I missed this show until I started reading After the Fall. And I am with you, Season Five is where it's at. Can't wait to see where you and Joss go with it.

I have spent some hours looking for a similar post to eventually stumble on your blog post on web design and London tours sites. There are different views on the topic but i will personally accept what you have elaborated above.
